Mazzoleni is glad to present Marinella Senatore at Abu Dhabi Art.
The solo show in the Special Project section is dedicated to the most acclaimed production of Italian artist Marinella Senatore: the exhibition features the most recent collages series titled Make it Shine, a series of paintings, and several previously unseen neon sculptures which have been produced using a mercury-free technology.
Senatore is also part of Artist Commissions in Historic Sites, a programme launched by the fair in 2017 that invites established artists to install site-specific works in historical sites in Al Ain. One of the most famous Senatore’s large-scale light installation, Bodies in Alliance, 2021, will be installed at the entrance of the pavilion Manarat Al Saadiyat, hosting the fair .
Mazzoleni is also pleased to announce Marinella Senatore’s talk scheduled on 16 November (5 pm – 5.45 pm). With Commissioned Art and Community, the artist will be in conversation with Arturo Galansino (Director General Palazzo Strozzi, Florence); Francesco Stocchi (Curator Modern and Contemporary Art, Boijmans van Beuningen Museum, Rotterdam); moderated by Chiara Paolino, Professor of Arts Management at Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore, Milan.
