Works and Archives. Daniela Ferraria is the exhibition curated by Ilaria Bernardi held at the Galleria Nazionale, Rome, from 18 June to 20 September 2020 (Opening: June 18th, 1-7pm). The exhibition pays homage to the intense work for art carried out by Daniela Ferraria, owner of the Roman gallery Arco d’Alibert, from 1975 to 2006.
With the aim of celebrating the donation to the Galleria Nazionale of the precious archives of Daniela Ferraria, the exhibition pays homage to the intense work carried out by the gallery owner in the course of her activity. The first room of the exhibition itinerary presents part of the works related to her activity that solicit a path of memories: a selection of archival documents is exhibited (letters, catalogues, documents) and some “objects of affection”, artworks exhibited at the Arco d’Alibert and came from her personal collection: artworks by Lucio Fontana, Jannis Kounellis, Carmengloria Morales, Giulio Turcato and Giuseppe Uncini.
The second room of the exhibition at the Galleria Nazionale offers instead a reenactment of one of the first exhibitions organized by Daniela Ferraria dedicated to the most recurrent artist in her activity: Paolo Cotani’s solo exhibition in 1979 at the Arco d’Alibert.
