“An exhibition by Agostino Bonalumi (1935-2013) is always a pleasure and not just for the eyes. Welcome then to Agostino Bonalumi: the Theatre of Forces (until 3 February, curated by Marco Scotini) at the Galleria Mazzoleni in Piazza Solferino. This is an unexpected investigation, at times even surprising, into one of the most interesting Italian artists of the second half of the last century, in the tenth year after his death… Welcome, then, the multidisciplinary approach that leads the visitor to “collide” not only with his famous plastic monochromes (the black one in the gallery entrance is very impressive), but also with all the material that allows one to discover a side of the artist that, today more than yesterday, is the subject of great interest and not only on the market. The title The Theatre of Forces refers first and foremost to the stage machine of the theatre, but also to the powerful forms of his works, which inevitably strike and fascinate.”
