VERTIGINE. VISIONI CONTEMPORANEE DELLA MONTAGNA

A collective exhibition to reveal some aspects of the contemporary artistic researches around the mountain through painting, sculpture, photography, video and installations. This is the idea of Vertigine. Visioni contemporanee della montagna, curated by Giorgio Caione.
The theme is a response to the most recent artistic production, thanks to the works of 21 contemporary artists who investigate through different media the multiple aspects related to the imaginary of the mountain. The vertigo of the title refers to the man suspended in nature between two infinities of Pascalian memory: from the infinite greatness of the Alpine peaks to the infinite smallness of the snow crystals. Two extremes, two opposing and complementary abysses that make us lose the references with the scale of our space. A losing that is also a finding in the path that opens to the viewer in the works of Fabrizio Albertini, Salvatore Astore, Joseph Beuys, Enrica Borghi, Marta Dell’Angelo and Gohar Martirosyan, Frenzy, Daniele Galliano, Simone Geraci, Daniele Giunta, Marcovinicio, Irene Pessino, Federico Piccari, Laura Pugno, Pierluigi Pusole, Franco Rasma, Turi Rapisarda, Giovanni Rizzoli, Luigi Stoisa, Gosia Turzeniecka, Velasco Vitali.
