From 12 November 2021 to 9 January 2022, on the occasion of the annual ARTDATE Festival of Contemporary Art, The Blank Contemporary Art presents Statements, an exhibition curated by Stefano Raimondi that summarises the collective traumatic experience of the pandemic through new works by some of the most influential international artists. The exhibition takes place at Palazzo della Ragione in Piazza Vecchia in Bergamo, a city that was at the heart of the tragedy of COVID and represents the determination to resist and start over.
Cory Arcangel, John Armleder, Ed Atkins, Elmgreen & Dragset, Nathalie Djurberg & Hans Berg, Cao Fei, Regina José Galindo, Ryan Gander, Kendell Geers, Shilpa Gupta, Alfredo Jaar, Emily Jacir, Luigi Ontani, Yan Pei Ming, Diego Perrone , Jack Pierson, Paola Pivi, Pipilotti Rist, Pamela Rosenkranz, Marinella Senatore, Cally Spooner, Pascale Marthine Tayou, Goran Trbuljak, Nora Turato, Francesco Vezzoli, and Lawrence Weiner are the internationally renowned artists who have accepted The Blank’s invitation to launch statements through visual or textual forms.
