Mazzoleni is delighted to announce its participation in The Armory Show 2018.
This year’s presentation features a selection of works by the pioneers of Italian art – Burri, Fontana, Bonalumi, Castellani and Alviani, and a special dialogue between Piero Dorazio (1927-2005) and Gianfranco Zappettini (b. 1939).
The Dorazio / Zappettini project will examine the relationships between the work of two Italian artists of different generations. Chromatic layering, lattices and vibrations are instruments developed by both in numerous “cycles” of works, which while iterated with complete independence, present new and stimulating models of interpretation.
