Come pesci nell’acqua (Like fish in water) is the title of the exhibition promoted and organized by Asilo Bianco, curated by Giorgio Verzotti. It will be held in Villa Nigra in Miasino, in the Tornielli Museum and in the Tempietto of the Neo-Gothic Park of Ameno.
At the centre of the project is the theme of water that acts as a metaphor and describes the works presented, which are arranged according to the space as the liquid element moves around them and takes the form of its containers. The volatile nature of water renders everything unstable thus making it difficult to assign each work to precise schemes and categories; they are sculptures but also photographs, sound installations, drawings, neon lights, leaves, rose thorns, videos, scrap metal, common objects, ceramics. Some of the ‘site specific’ works have been created especially for the occasion and tells of the characteristics of Lake Orta (Italy) and its history.
The opening will take place on Saturday 5th June with a guided tour of the exhibition led by the exhibition’s curator Giorgio Verzotti and some of the artists. The second exhibition space will also be accessible on foot with a nature guide.
Artists on show : Francesco Arena, Stefano Arienti, Gianni Caravaggio, Alice Cattaneo, Massimo De Caria, Carlo Dell’Acqua, Elisabetta Di Maggio, Sergio Limonta, Gianluigi Maria Masucci, Yari Miele, Filippo Manzini, Luca Pozzi, Luca Trevisani, Fabio Roncato, Shigeru Saito.
