ACTIVE ART. When art activates communities and territories

What impact can art have in our contemporary society?
A series of live conversations organized by Fondazione Imago Mundi during the Milan Art Week will try to address this question, starting from the installation Bodies in Alliance by Marinella Senatore.
The installation produced on the occasion of the exhibition Italian Twist currently running at Gallery delle Prigioni in Treviso until November, will be presented during the Milan Art Week (September 13-19, 2021) at 21 Way of Living Milano, partner in the initiative, creating an ideal bridge between these two cities and becoming the stage for 3 live events dedicated to investigate how art can become an activator for social and cultural processes of community engagement, empowerment and local development.
On Wednesday 15 September at 6.30 pm, Marinella Senatore and Roberta Tenconi, Curator of Pirelli HangarBicocca, will discuss about how, starting from a close and cultural confrontation with history, culture and local social stuctures, the artist’s works have been able to activate some virtuous processes of individual and civic awareness within different communities, in different places of the world.
