Mazzoleni is pleased to participate in Abu Dhabi Art 2025 with a dual presentation highlighting two key strands of Italian art: contemporary experimentation and the enduring legacy of the great masters of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Matter and Languages of Form – This presentation brings together works by Marinella SenatoreAndrea Francolino, David Reimondo and Nunzio, four artists who reaffirm the power of material as a means of expression and connection.
Francolino transforms cracks and fractures into poetic works, using gold, lapis lazuli and earth dust to create a link between matter and symbol.

Looking at a crack is like looking at the universe, I reflect on the meaning of life and the meaning of things

يشبه النظر إلى الصدع النظر إلى الكون، ما يجعني أفكر في معنى الحياة ومعنى الأشياء

Reimondo develops an original sensory language, translating colours into sounds and engaging the audience in participatory experiences.

My work focuses on the individual. Recovering intimate subjectivity, which may also become a contribution to the community. I create imaginary theories that I translate into language through various media.

Senatore combines neon and collage to celebrate collectivity and human collection, emphasising that positive, shared messages arise through dialogue and exchange.

“The light can prove to be a tool for narration and poetic creation, as well as for resistance and cohesion”

“يمكن أن يثبت الضوء أنه أداة للسرد والإبداع الشعري، وكذلك للصمود والتماسك”

Marinella Senatore

Nunzio’s poetics emerge through a tension between presence and absence, where matter—often burned, carved, or transformed—becomes a language of spirituality and memory.

Space is sculpture. I believe that creating space, not occupying it, has always been the aspiration of every artist.
