Marinella Senatore, The School of Narrative Dance, L’Aquila
A collective ritual that transforms the city into a widespread stage, capable of restoring an active role to the collectivity in the construction of meaning, identity and community.
The performance began as a travelling storytelling school, based on emancipation, inclusion and self-education. Its development was accompanied by extensive research in the local area, placing the social fabric at the centre of the project.
With this work, Marinella Senatore reflects on the concept of the work of art as a participatory form of expression, capable of influencing the character of the local area and the social dynamics that shape it.
