Vincenzo Cecchini was born in 1934 in Cattolica, in the province of Rimini, where he still lives and works.
He debuted in 1955 at the Premio Scipione in Macerata and, two years later, had his first solo exhibition at Galleria Numero in Florence. He exhibited in Rome, together with Claudio Verna and Carmengloria Morales in 1967 and in 1972 alongside Paolo Cotani and Morales. In 1973 he was invited to the exhibition Un futuro possibile. Nuova pittura. In 1976 he took part in Concerning Painting, the traveling show held in several Dutch museums and in 1977 he participated in Bilder ohne Bilder at the Rheinsiche Landesmuseum Bonn.
